2024 San Marcos Pop Warner - Tackle Football

San Marcos Pop Warner offers Age Based 11-Man Tackle Football for ages 7 through 13 years old.
The age of the participant on July 31st will be the Age Division they will be eligible to be placed in.
To verify age, A COPY of a valid Birth Certificate is required to be provided to San Marcos Pop Warner.

Divisions
9U - 7, 8 and 9 years of old
10U - 8, 9, and 10 years old
11U - 9, 10, and 11 years old
12U - 10, 11 and 12 years old
13U - 11, 12, and 13 years old

PLEASE NOTE:
IT IS NOT GUARANTEED THAT ALL AGE DIVISIONS WILL BE FORMED.
IT IS NOT GUARANTEED THAT A PARTICIPANT PLAYS IN THEIR OLDEST ELIGIBLE AGE DVISION.
Division placement is based on the number of participants registered for a particular division.
San Marcos Pop Warner has player safety at the forefront of every team formation.
FRIEND REQUEST, COACH REQUEST, and DIVISION REQUEST may be considered, but are not guaranteed.

TEAM SIZE:
The MINIMUM players per team is 16 players
The MAXIMUM players per team is 35 players

Should a division/team have less than 16 players registered the division/team will not be eligible for game play until the minimum number is met.
Should a division have more than 35 players registered a WAITLIST will be created, and waitlisted players will not be rostered for a team until the MINIMUM players per team is met.

Preseason Activities:
Sizing - Jersey / Uniform / Spirit Wear (March, April, May)
Association Fundraiser (TBD)
San Marcos Pop Warner Clinic / Camp (Summer)
Equipment Handout (end of July)

Included with Registration:
Reversible Jersey and intergrated pants
Spirit wear (shorts and shirt)
Compression shirt
Sweatshirt
Game socks (regualr and pink)
Equipment bag
Helmet reconditioning fees
Hudl fees
Misc. items (belts, decals, etc)

Season Dates:
Practice Begins - August 1st
MANDATORY - Player Certification - 2nd Saturday of August
Games Begin - 3rd or 4th Saturday of August
Season Ends - Week before Thanksgiving in November

GAMEDAY:
San Marcos Pop Warner is an association within West Coast Conference. Games will be played on Saturdays versus OTHER CITIES / ASSOCIATIONS within WCC, and other outside Conferences. Travel is GUARANTEED. We will play as far north as Inland Empire / Orange Country, as far South as Chula Vista, and as far EAST as EL CENTRO, during regular season play.
GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

Practice Fields - Sunset Park (Flag & Tackle), and Connors Park (Tackle)

POP WARNER is a Minimum Play Rule organization. Every player is guaranteed a minimum amount of game time play respective to their team size.

2024 San Marcos Pop Warner - Flag Football

San Marcos Pop Warner offers Age Based 8-Man Flag Football for ages 5 through 7 years old.
Pop Warner Flag Football is an entry level contact sport. PLAYER TO PLAYER CONTACT will occur.
The age of the participant on July 31st will be the Age Division they will be eligible to be placed in.
To verify age, A COPY of a valid Birth Certificate is required to be provided to San Marcos Pop Warner.

San Marcos Pop Warner offers Age Based Small and Medium Cheer Teams for ages 5 through 15 years old.
The age of the participant on July 31st will be the Age Division they will be eligible to be placed in.

Non-Competitive Divisions
Flag Cheer - 5, 6, and 7 years old

Competitive Divisions
Tiny Mite - 5, 6, and 7 years of old
Mitey Mite - 7, 8, and 9 years old
Pee Wee - 9, 10, 11, and 12 years old
Junior Varsity - 10, 11, 12, and 13 years old

We offer Small to Medium Formations of Teams. With a minimum cheer team of 5 participants to maximum participants of 36.

Should a division/team have less than 5 cheerleaders registered, the division/team will not be eligible for game play until the minimum number is met or will be transferred to another age appropriate division based on the cheerleaders age qualifications.
Should a division have more than 36 cheerleaders registered, a waitlist will be created, and waitlisted cheerleaders will not be rostered for a team until the MINIMUM cheerleaders per team is met.

Practice Fields - Sunset Park, and Connors Park as well as indoors at Corky Smith Gym or other affiliated indoor facilities.

POP WARNER requires attendance at Certification Day in August, as well as JAMZ Camp, all practices and games that are held throughout the entire season, and Competitions. *Attendance is highly encouraged at all other Pop Warner held events such as Pop Warner Nights ar the local San Marcos High Schools SMHS and MHHS throughout the season as well.
