SMPW Attendance Policy

Unexcused Absences:

1 missed practice: No start (child will miss an entire first series of his usual playing time).

2 missed practices: Child will play only the minimum plays for the game.

3 missed practices: Child will not play in that weeks’ game. The child is encouraged to join the team for support.

Excused Absences:

3 missed practices regardless of situation will result in the child unable to participate in that weeks’ game due to lack of preparation.

Examples of Excused absences are:

·        Illness (child present during practice)

·        Injury (child present during practice)

·        Disciplinary (child present during practice)

·        Family Emergency

·        Pre-scheduled absence (must be notified at least 2 days prior)

Examples of unexcused absences are:

·        Illness (not present)

·        Injury (not present)

·        Disciplinary (not present)

·        No show, no call

·        Commitment to other sport, activity
